YardSard - Privacy Policy

YardSard (“the App”) is operated by Prithvi Rakhyani / WeCraftDesigns LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and your choices.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the YardSard iOS app.

2. Data We Collect

A. Account and Authentication Data (for signed-in users) When you sign in with Google or Apple, we process and store via Firebase Authentication:
  • Email address (including Apple relay address if you choose Hide My Email)
  • Authentication provider (Apple or Google)
  • Firebase user ID (UID)
  • Account creation date/time
  • Last sign-in date/time
B. In-App Data by User Tier Guest users:
  • No cloud account data is stored by us for guest mode.
Free signed-in users:
  • Optional payment usernames you enter (for example: Venmo, Cash App, PayPal usernames)
  • We do not store your buyers’ payment details, transaction confirmations, or bank/card information.
Premium signed-in users:
  • Categories (name, created date)
  • Items (name, category association if any, quantity, price, image filename/URL reference, created date)
  • Sale events (name, date, active status)
  • Sales data (date, item, quantity, price, payment method and related sale details)
  • Soft-delete/deletion status metadata used for recovery/sync behavior
  • Seller-entered public listing address/location
  • Precise/coarse device location used for Nearby search
  • Public listing metadata like event visibility, sale timing, and public item summaries
  • Optional profile image URL reference
  • Optional uploaded images (catalog and profile images) in Firebase Storage
C. Diagnostics and Product Analytics To operate and improve the app, we may process limited diagnostics/usage signals such as:
  • Device model
  • Operating system version
  • App version
  • Basic crash/error diagnostics
  • Basic product interaction events
We do not use third-party advertising networks, behavioural tracking SDKs, or data brokerage services.

3. How We Use Data

We use data to:
  • Authenticate your account
  • Provide inventory/sales/event features
  • Provide premium cloud sync/backup/recovery features
  • Show nearby public YardSards
  • Geolocate public listings
  • Let buyers discover public events (a buyer’s location may be used to identify nearby public YardSards)
  • Provide directions/navigation context
  • Generate payment QR flows from the seller usernames you entered
  • Maintain app reliability, security, and troubleshooting
  • Respond to support requests
Control:
  • Sellers can turn public listing off
  • Users can search Nearby by entered ZIP/address even if device location is denied
  • Exact vs. Approximate address visibility is seller-controlled

If a seller enables a public listing, selected event information becomes visible to other users. This includes: exact location (only if seller chooses “exact”) or approximate area (only if seller chooses “approximate”).
We do not sell your personal information. To anyone. For anything.

4. Payments and External Payment Apps

YardSard does not process payments.
  • We only store optional seller payment usernames you enter.
  • The app can generate QR/payment links that open third-party payment apps.
  • Any actual payment occurs outside YardSard in those third-party apps.

5. Data Storage and Providers

We use third-party infrastructure providers, including:
  • Firebase Authentication (Google)
  • Cloud Firestore (Google)
  • Firebase Storage (Google)
  • Apple Sign in with Apple
  • Google Sign-in

6. Administrative Access

YardSard is operated by a single developer/administrator (It’s me. Prithvi). Administrative access to backend systems is limited to legitimate operational purposes, such as:
  • Diagnosing sync or backup issues
  • Investigating user-reported support issues
  • Security monitoring and abuse prevention
  • Maintaining service reliability
We do not access user data for marketing, profiling, or resale purposes.

7. Security

We rely on Firebase and platform controls, including encryption in transit and at rest, plus per-user access controls via backend security rules.
No system is 100% secure, and you acknowledge that risk when using online services.

8. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as needed to operate your account/services, unless deletion is requested or required by law.
When you delete your account in-app, associated cloud-stored account data is deleted permanently from active systems, subject to limited retention in backups required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Some residual technical logs/backups may persist for a limited period where required for security, integrity, or legal compliance.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You can:
  • Use guest mode without account sign-in
  • Delete your account in-app (Settings -> Account -> Delete Account)
  • Request access/deletion by contacting us
  • Control certain device permissions (camera/photos) in iOS settings
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, or portability.

10. Children's Privacy

YardSard is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

11. International Processing

Your data may be processed on infrastructure operated by our providers in countries other than your own.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Last Updated” date reflects the latest revision.
